Zane Joshua Waszczuk (Seymour)'s Obituary
Zane Joshua Waszczuk was born in Springfield, Missouri, on October 1, 2003, to Zenon Waszczuk and Jennifer Nosser Waszczuk. From his very earliest days, the boy had a heartwarming smile on his face and instantly won over anyone he met. Zane spent most of his childhood years attending Springfield’s Wilder Elementary School and later moved to live on his Grandparent’s farm in Seymour, where he attended Seymour Middle School. Just before Zane began high school, he and his father moved to Ozark, where Zane attended his ninth-grade year and played on the freshman football team. During this time, Zane also started volunteering at Ozark Veterinary Clinic—his sweet soul always had a love for animals, and he quickly developed a passion for helping them. Soon after starting his vet visits, Zane shared that the employees and many animals there loved him just as much—the clinic had worked out a plan to hire Zane, and he was going to start working a part-time job there when he turned 16.
Since before he could even talk in full sentences, Zane was a true motorhead in every sense of the word, collecting his beloved Matchbox cars along with toy monster trucks, four wheelers, dirt bikes and anything else with a motor. By age 5, Zane could identify cars driving down the road by the shape of their headlights or grills, much more so than most adults. His Matchbox collection neared 1,000 by his early teenage years, and he had many model cars to match. This love of all things that go led Zane to develop his passion for four wheelers and dirt bikes at a young age, and as he grew, some of his happiest moments were spent riding dirt bikes on his Grandmom and Grandpop’s farm.
If Zane was ever stuck indoors, you’d often find him playing video games on his latest gaming console—of course racing games were his favorite—and he was always on his staying in touch with his friends or watching YouTube videos centered around his favorite hobbies.
Zane’s charm, smile, wit, compassion and ever-lasting persuasive and persistent personality will be forever missed by us all, including his father, Zenon Waszczuk; mother, Jennifer Nosser; sister, Ivey Waszczuk; brother, Ethan Appleby; grandparents, Zenon and Charlene Waszczuk; Nana, Rebecca Nosser; Uncle Chris Waszczuk and Aunt Cayla Waszczuk; Aunt Savannah Waszczuk and Uncle Dylan Gideon; Aunt Adina Freeman and Uncle Web Freeman; cousins Emery and Alayna Waszczuk and Bella and Ava Freeman and many other extended family and friends. He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Roger Nosser, and Uncle, Joshua Waszczuk.
We love you forever, our sweet Zaney. We are blessed that God let us borrow you for a little bit, and we know we will see you again one day. Until then, we will treasure your memories and remember your smile.
Memorials made in Zane's honor may be made to Ozark Veterinary Clinic and left at the funeral home or sent to: 1802 MO-14 E, Ozark, MO 65721.
