Zoie Meier's Obituary
Zoie Jewell Meier, daughter of Rufus V. and Ida M. Baty Jackson, was born July 11, 1914 in Barnumton, Missouri. She departed this life, Friday, January 26, 2007 in Pleasant Valley Manor in Pleasant Valley, Missouri at the age of ninety-two years, six months and fifteen days. On May 4, 1932, she was united in marriage to Henry Andrew Meier and to this union two daughters were born. He preceded her in death on November 1, 2000 after sixty-eight years of marriage. She was also preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Ben Jackson and Lee Jackson and four sisters, Bessie Shockley, Martha McKee, Betty Cooper and Odessa Andrews. Survivors include her daughters, Zoan V. Bruynell and her husband, David, of Pleasant Valley, Missouri, and Bonnie Louise Melton and her husband, Willard, of Olathe, Kansas; two grandchildren, Andrew C. Bruynell of Pleasant Valley, Missouri, and Andra Beashore and her husband, Rick, of Olathe, Kansas; three great-grandchildren, Dana M. Bruynell of Pleasant Valley, Missouri, Derek Beckham and Charlene Beashore both of Olathe, Kansas; a great-great-grandson, Devin A. Bruynell of Pleasant Valley, Missouri; a brother, Vance Jackson of Buckner, Missouri; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Zoie was raised in the Climax Springs, Missouri area and attended the Crocker school. She and her husband were long-time residents of Climax Springs, Missouri, where they owned the Apco Station, Garage and Cafe. In October of 1996, they moved to Liberty, Missouri. She made a profession of faith in Christ and attended a Non-Denominational Christian Church. In her spare time she enjoyed cooking, gardening and beautiful flowers. Most of all, she enjoyed her family and spending time with her grandchildren. Zoie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt and was a loving and caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and accomplishments and will cherish the memories she created for her family and friends. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 30, 2007, in Drennon Chapel, Climax Springs, Missouri. Burial will be in Grainger Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 1:00 p.m. until service time. Services are under the direction of Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Camdenton, Missouri. Memorials to Liberty Hospital Hospice may be made through the funeral home.
