Billy L. Blattel (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Billy Leon Blattel, son of Theon E. and Alta P. Rogers Blattel, was born June 11, 1947, near Lebanon, Missouri.  He departed this life Saturday, September 17, 2022, in Mercy Hospital, in Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of seventy-five years, three months, and six days.
On June 2, 1967, he was united in marriage to Mary Jane “Janie” Ivey, and to this union two daughters and one son were born.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Larry Dale; and two sisters, Joann, and Mary Jewell.
Billy is survived by his loving wife of fifty-five years, Janie, of the home in Lebanon, Missouri; two daughters, Lori Jeffries, and her husband, Rusty, of Montreal, Missouri, and Lynetta Clary, and her husband, John, of Sunrise Beach, Missouri; a son, Larry Wayne Blattel, and his wife, Renee, of Lebanon, Missouri; eight grandchildren, Tyler, Shayna, Shelby, Dustin, Taylor, Paige, Chance, and Halle; nine great-grandchildren; several step-grandchildren; a brother, Wayne Blattel, and his wife, Lois, of Eldridge,  Missouri; three sisters, Pauline Thomas, Shirley Blue, and Louetta Cromer, and her husband, Bud, all of Lebanon, Missouri; a number of nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
He lived his entire life in Laclede County near Lebanon, Missouri.  He was a longtime employee of Mid-America Dairy.  After he and Janie were married, they made their home in Lebanon and lovingly raised their children.
He professed his faith in Christ in 2010, and was baptized into the Lebanon Nazarene Church.  He was currently a faithful member of Community Baptist Church near Lebanon, Missouri.
He was an excellent skilled deer hunter and enjoyed hunting, fishing and trapping.  He liked being outdoors and enjoyed growing a garden each year and also planted and tended to lots of flowers.  He never met a stranger and always enjoyed visiting with anyone he met.   His family was at the center of his life and he especially enjoyed having time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Billy was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and was a caring friend.  We celebrate his life and know that his family and friends will treasure the wonderful memories he made with them during his lifetime.
Funeral services for Billy Blattel will be Thursday, Sept. 22 at 2 p.m. at Community Baptist Church in Lebanon. Visitation will be held Wednesday evening from 5 - 6:30p.m. in Holman-Howe Funeral Home in Lebanon. Burial will be in Mount Rose Memorial Park.
