Charley Bill Krider (Mansfield)'s Obituary
Charley William Krider, son of Charley Leonard Krider and Ireta May Letsinger Krider, was born July 5, 1943 in Kansas City, Kansas and departed this life on Sunday, February 21, 2021 at his home near Mansfield, Missouri at the age of seventy-seven years, seven months, and sixteen days.
He was united in marriage to Wanda Henson and to this union one daughter was born. On July 15, 1994, he married Kris Rasmussen Smith, and they shared nearly fifteen years together before her passing on February 27, 2009. He was also preceded in death by his parents, Charley and Ireta May, grandparents who adopted him at a young age, Earl and Maude Letsinger, sister, Alice Findley, and grandson, Ty Krider Owens.
Charley Bill is survived by his daughter, Heather Dennis and husband, Brett, of Mansfield; 3 grandchildren, Conner Choate, Sharice Jarrett and husband, Landon, and Arik Dennis; step-son, Scott Smith and wife, Melissa; 2 sisters, Helen Dixon of Mansfield and Ruth Ann Bussell of Westminster, CA; brother, Sam Wampler of Mansfield; and a cousin that was like a brother, Arthur Meade and wife, Jody, of Hesperia, California.
He was born in Kansas City, Kansas and was raised in Mansfield where he graduated from Mansfield High School in the Class of 1961. He moved to St. Louis for a short time where he worked at a men’s suit shop. When he returned to Mansfield, he worked at Honeycutt Chevrolet, Holmes Ford and Hutchens’ Industries. Charley Bill retired from Hutchens’ Industries as quality control manager after 30 years.
Charley Bill had made a profession of faith in Christ many years ago and was a member of the Mansfield Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
He had a country music band for 25 years named “Charley Krider and Scutter Country Band”. He enjoyed woodworking making many beautiful pieces of furniture and crafts to sell at Fall/Christmas festivals he and Kris had booths at.
In his spare time, he loved spending time with his family and church family and enjoyed going to stock car races, deer and turkey hunting, camping, working on the farm, and just being outdoors.
Charley Bill was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and someone who cared about others and he never met a stranger. We will always cherish the many special times we had together.

A graveside memorial service will be held at Noon on Saturday, March 6, 2021 in Hensley Cemetery north of Mansfield.
