Sending peace and love. Corey never met a stranger, always smiling. Our thoughts are with you. Polly, Allie, Erin and Keith Strickland.
I remember the first time I met Corey. His smile lit up the room...always lit up the room. I soon learned he cared deeply for others and always wanted to help make everyone's moments more joyful. Whether it was 4-H hayrides, Legislative Days, Bell Ringing at Christmas (and yes, singing!), EXCEL or Pampered Pets, Corey included everyone. He strove to reach back to pull others forward and just made 4-H a great place to be. It was my honor to know and work with Corey and his parents during those years. I learned long ago that bright smiles harbor deep thinkers and Corey was that as well. He loved to cook and always looked forward to sharing a meal with you. I, like everyone, will miss seeing his smile flash across my screen from many miles away. To Anne and Frankie, to all his family and friends, I am so sorry for your loss. If we honor his care for others and if we share a smile with another to brighten their day, then his bright light truly lives on through us. A life cut far too short may dim our space here on earth, but surely brightens the realm of Heaven. I will never forget this young man and his love for other people and the impact he had on so many.
I remember the first time I met Corey. His smile lit the room...always lit the room. I soon learned he cared deeply for others, which radiated from those big hugs he gave so generously to all. As an Assistant Youth Specialist in Laclede and Pulaski County, I had the extreme pleasure of seeing Corey give a helping hand to everyone. He strove to include everyone, always reaching back to help someone move forward. From hayrides to Legislative Days, Corey wore the smile of a young man who longed to share that brightness with the world. He made our days incredibly fun and joyful. I learned long ago that bright smiles also think deeply and Corey wore that mantle as well. I will always be thankful for the time I shared with so many youth and Corey will always remain a huge chunk of that memory. I will, as so many, miss seeing that bright smile flash across my page. To Anne and Frankie, to all his family and friends, I am so sorry for your loss. His life will always be treasured and carried forward with us... through us. His is another life cut far to short here on earth and now brightens the realm of Heaven.

I'm so saddened and prayers for the family. I knew Corey while working for his dad at the restaurant. I loved working with Corey he always had a smile and was a kind person and he will be dearly missed. Rest in peace Corey.
There are so many of my childhood memories that have Corey in it. 💜 I remember all the times we’d climb the fence, pet the cows, and play on the merry go round. Corey you were always family to me and you brought so much joy in my life 💜 Thank you for being someone I could count on
