Cres and I shared so many special moments most people do not know about, Her first was probably when she made the decision to become a Christian. She was 12 years old and she was raised to be a Catholic, but she got involved with local Christian church activities and she decided to switch her faith to be a Christian. When she would tell me about this she was so excited and proud. She always held on to her faith and it kept her strong. Her child hood was not the best, but she grew to depend on her faith to get her thru some of her adult problems. Her next moment she said was when we were married, 03 Sep 1990. She loved me with all of her heart and she followed me throught my Naval career. Next were when the kids were born, David on the 28th of March 1993 and Tristen on the 11th of July 1996. Her 2 boys were the apple of her eye. David was more like her and TJ more like me, she loved these boys with the fierceness of a tiger. Nobody messed with her boys. She was going to get a teacher one time when she thought David was being messed with to much. TJ was her baby and nobody was allowed to talk bad or be mean to him. Cres became a US citizen on 24 Jul 2004. She was so proud of this, she worked hard to learn about the US government. This is why she became so involved with issues. She loved to vote. Make no mistake though, she was all FILIPINA, she loved the Philippines and so proud of this too. She would tell me about the history of the Phils, she made me an honorary citizen of the Phils and I have learned to love that country. I look forward to spending time there in the future and being with my family. She was a FIL-AM in every way. Her proudest moment was when I became a Christian and was baptized on 10 FEB 2008. My place is secured with the Lord and I know she will take comfort in this. David and TJ were both saved and baptized May of 2009. Again she she was so very proud. These are special moments Cres and I shared together. I was with from the beginning until the night she closed her eyes. We will always be connected. I loved this women with all of my heart. She was my best friend, my lover, the mother of our children and most importantly, my wife. She is resting in God's arms now and she is also secure in the knowledge myself and the boys will see her again in the promised land. Husband##imported-begin##Husband - Paul##imported-end##

Ludy, Edward, Sheila, and I are very sorry for your loss, our thoughts and prayers are with you Paul, David, and TJ. I will never forget the way Cres & Paul helped us when we returned from the Phillipines to the U.S.. Cres was a friend to my wife, knowing she was new to Ca.. Her upbeat personality was always nice to be around. A time we will always remember, is when we all bowled together as a team, in local leagues and city tournaments. When aboard the USS Oldendorf Paul, John, Bobby, & I met very special women, Cres, Brenda, Anna & Ludy. Cres exemptlified this by her caring & loving smiles, that everyone came to enjoy. Cres was a special sister to me. She always made me feel at home whenever we came to visit. I never had a sister of my own, she will always be that sister. I will miss her very much when we go down to visit Paul, David, TJ and Mom, especially when I look at the picture of Cres and Paul in our home. When we heard Paul was bringing home his future wife from the Phillipines, we knew we wouldlike her. What we didn't know was how much we would come to love her. Cres was a very beautiful lady with a beautiful heart. She always had a smile for everyone and always listened intently to what one was saying. When I think back to this young, tiny girl getting on a plane and heading for a strange nnew country, not knowing anyone except Paul, I marvel at heer courage. She muist really have been in love with Paul! She showed that same courage and strength in taking care of the household and David and T.J. when Paul would be on ship. We simply cannot understand why this wonderful wife and mother was taken from her family in the prime of her life. We are all heartbroken, but especially think of Paul, David and T.J. To Cres' Family - Dear
family: Just wanted to send a message to you about the first time I met Cres. When she came to the U.S. Paul's mother and dad (my brother) invited us over to meet his new soon bride-to-be. I felt she was intimidated by our somewhat rather loud family. Cres was small of course and I am 6'2", but gave her a big hug to make her feel at home. We decided to get some lunch and I asked Cres what she would like. She responded "Let someone else decide. I said "No you make the decision, so it was fried chicken. What fun we had as time went by and at our numerous family get-togethers. I grew to love her very much--in fact everyone in the family loved Cres. What a lady! My regret is that we didn't get to spend more time with her and the family, as they were in Japan for many years. She left us much, much too soon. Paul David and I grew up together as cousins. Cres made Paul David so happy. Before no time, Cres was my cousin too! I will miss her smile and the love she gave to the family. She was a very special person, a dear cousin, and a loving wife and mom. I think about her so much and miss her greatly. I will remember her with a smile, because Cres always had a loving smile on her face and I think that is what she would want. She will also be beautiful, smiling Cres to me.
