I just received the news and am absolutely heartbroken... I haven't spoken to David since January and then due to personal circumstances had to have my number changed; I meant time and time again to call and tell him of this. I met David in a little pub in England when I was 18 years old, we fell in love and four weeks later I was on a Greyhound bus travelling down from Newark to see the man of my dreams. I spent many happy times with Thelma and Herman and throughout the twenty one years since I left, have always remained in contact, even if only by a couple of calls a year or the odd card here and there. I really can't believe that my lovely, wonderful friend is truly gone and the only way I can get through the rest of today will be by listening to his favourite tunes: John Denver, Anne Murray, The Eagles. I send all my love to the Myers family, some of whom I knew and remember fondly.
