He was born and raised in the Lebanon area and then moved with his mother and sister to Springfield, where he graduated from Parkview High School. Although most of his adult years were spent in Lebanon and Springfield, he had also made his home in Colorado and several states to the west. He was a reserve deputy with the Springfield Police Department for a time and had also worked at ranches in the Western United States. He was a multi talented man, but was happiest when being a cowboy and mountain man. He owned and operated a hat shop for awhile, and had later worked as a carpenter, doing remodeling jobs.
David had professed his faith in Christ and was a member of Seminole Baptist Temple in Springfield, where he drove a bus route for the church for several years.
In his spare time he loved music and liked playing the guitar and singing. He also enjoyed working on old cars and had restored a 1966 Pontiac Bonneville and an Oldsmobile.
David will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all of his family and many friends.
