David Malone (Lebanon)'s Obituary
David Robert Malone was born on the fifth of March, 1954 the youngest son of Ross W. Malone and Marjorie (Wood) Malone in Lebanon, Missouri. He attended the Lebanon Public Schools for Kindergarten through High School, graduating in 1972. He continued his education at the University of Missouri and Missouri State University.
David was active in Boy Scouts and the school band in Lebanon. While in Springfield he married Karen Payne and a child, Meagan Malone was born of that union. Later David remarried Connie Austin who brought him happiness for his last thirteen years. David had several employers through his life. He spent several years as a Master Card Officer and a bank Branch Manager. He also worked for several years as Maintenance and Custodial Supervisor for a cluster of Springfield schools. For the past six years he has been a Sales Rep. for the Springfield Paper Company. He may be best remembered for being an honest and loyal friend to many, and also a loving son, husband, brother, father, and grandfather. His outlook always remained positive even through hardships and adversity. He died at home, in his sleep, on November 9. David was preceded in death by his father and one infant brother. Survivors include his mother, Marjorie Malone of Springfield, wife, Connie Malone of Springfield, brother, Ross Malone and wife Doris of Union, MO, daughter, Meagan O’Hara of Springfield, and beloved grandson, Logan O’Hara of Springfield. In addition, David leaves many aunts, uncles, nieces, and cousins as well as many close and long-time friends. Internment will be in the family plot at Mount Rose Memorial Cemetery in Lebanon. Memorial services will be held at the Community of Christ Church, 909 West Battlefield, in Springfield on Monday, November 14, at 2:00.
