David Lee Peterson (Bolivar) Jr.'s Obituary
David Lee Peterson, Jr., 51, of Bolivar, MO passed away Sunday, December 11,
2016 in Lebanon, Missouri.
David was born November 27, 1965 to David Peterson, Sr. and Judy Peterson in
Kansas City, Missouri. David has been actively serving in the US Army since 2003;
including two tours of duty during Operation Iraqi Freedom. David's most recent
assignment was to Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri.
David has been married to the love of his life, Barbara, for the past 17 years.
Together they have blended their families and were able to move back to Bolivar
where their love began.
David was a devoted dad and papa. In his free time he enjoyed being with his
children and his grandchildren. He was highly competitive and loved family game
night. His competitive spirit especially came out on the racquetball court. David
was an enthusiastic Green Bay Packers fan.
Survivors include wife Barbara, of the home; mother Judy Peterson of Fair Play,
MO; father David Peterson, Sr. and wife, Kati of Spring Grove, MN; daughter
Ashley Bean and husband Andy of Kansas City, MO; son, Ryan and wife, Kaci of
Jefferson City, MO; son, Nathan of Piedmont, OK; son, Jordan of Rolla, MO; son,
Jacob of Bolivar, MO; daughter, Alexis of Springfield, MO; daughter Sarah and son
Aaron of the home. He is also survived by three grandchildren Wes and Kate
Bean of Kansas City, MO and Nicholas Peterson of Jefferson City, MO and two
sisters, Angela Williams and husband Billy of Billings, MO and Donna Peterson of
Fair Play, MO. David is preceded in death by his sister, Ann Peterson.
Visitation for David Peterson will be held Monday, December 19, 2016 at Butler Funeral Home in Bolivar, MO. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, December 20th, 2016 at the First Assembly of God Church in Bolivar, MO, with a graveside committal service directly after at Pleasant Hill Cemetery under the direction of the Butler Funeral Home in Bolivar, MO.
