Aurora Esparza
I'm Aurora Esparza from Reno, Nevada. Lita calls me Auring (my nickname).
Lita and I have been friends for a long long time. Our friendship started in the late 60's when we were both employed at the U.S. Veterans Administration at the US Embassy, Manila.
I can't remember how it all started but there were four of us in the office - Lita, Lynn, Cora and I, that really bonded well. We even formed a singing group and called ourselves "The Young Ones". Yes, we were young, once upon a time.
First time Lita met Bob, it was love at first sight. She told us matter of factly, "I love this guy. I will marry this guy". Those were her exact words. We did not believe her; however, it did not take long and one day she happily announced that they were indeed getting married. We, the young ones, were chose to be her bride's maids.
Over the years we maintained our friendship by phone calls and emails. We sent each other greeting cards on birthdays and christmasses.
Lita is like a sister to me. She is very close to my big family.
Lita, I will always love you and I already miss you. Your bright smile, your contagious laughter, and our lengthy phone calls. I will never forget our special friendship and the beautiful memories we shared. Rest in peace my friend on your journey to God Almighty's Kingdom. We lost you but heaven surely gained an angel. Farewell, my dearest friend.
Bob, Bobby and Marilyn, my sincerest sympathies for your loss. May you find peace in this time of sorrow.
