Uncle Eugene was so fun to be around. Any time we visited, we got a tour of his farm on a wagon pulled by one of his big tractors. On the hot Missouri days, he would get a watermelon from the patch and slice it lengthwise so we could have watermelon juice on our faces from ear to ear. He also had a "stash" of super cold coca cola to share. We spent many days while I was growing up at the farm and got to help feed calves or put up hat. Uncle Eugene had the knack of making work fun. I am sure it was because he loved his farm and animals so much. He will be dearly missed

I never had the privilege to meet Billy, regrettably, but I did get to meet his granddaughter, Ashley Barr, at the Lamplighter Guild this past July. I must say how impressed I am with her and how thankful the Lord allowed us to cross paths. She is a remarkable young woman, and so I must conclude she come from quite a remarkable family. I prayed for you all during the drought and during Billy's illness, and I am continuing to pray that the God of all Comfort comforts each and every one of you in this time of loss.
