I lived in Seymour as a youngster from late 1959 through summer 1963. The Mahaffeys lived about a block from me. My mother and I also attended the Seymour Methodist Church. I knew Mr. and Mrs. Mahaffey, and Charles and I both attended Seymour schools. I am sorry to learn of Mrs. Mahaffey's passing. My condolences to Charles and Diana and to Mrs. Mahaffeys grandchildren. May God comfort you at this time.
Francis was such a beautiful woman inside and out. I worked with her for many years with the Friends of the Library. Such a wonderful lady. God bless Charles and his family during this difficult time.
I have so many wonderful memories of my aunt Frances. I especially remember visiting our grandparents and her at their farm. My sister JoAnne and I had so much fun with Frances we didn't want our visit to end, so we always begged her to come home to Wichita with us. A few years later after I was grown, Frances and Bob graciously opened their home to me and my daughter while my husband was training in Ft. Leonardwood. Frances was a very loved and special part of our family.
