Some of my most treasured memories as a child were when I got to go stay with my Uncle Fred and Aunt Dixie. He was always a jokester and he would meet me at the car with a list of chores that he would roll out in such a way that I know he rehearsed it until I got there. I always enjoyed the time we spent together. Though we didn't see each other much in my adult life, he was and is always in my thoughts and love him as much as I did then. Love you Uncle Fred. I am in complete shock at the sudden loss of such a wonderful and giving man. Fred was a parent to his two amazing boys but was also a parent to many of their friends too! He was always smiling, telling a cheeky joke, helping others, and oh my word his famous cooking!!! So many wonderful stories and memories of this amazing guy. His work with the Knights of Columbus, Peace Pantry and other causes were always inspiring as he was always moving and doing. No moss under his feet. He loved his boys and was so proud of them and let everyone know it and the love he had for his grandchildren was also well known. Everyone in town knew who Fred and Dixie was and chances are they knew where they lived they probably smelled the good food, heard the laughter and most likely some loud drums! Rest in Peace Fred and thank you for some great memories and say hello to Dixie for us 🙏❤️ Praying for his kids and their wives and grandkids during this difficult time.
