Gary Lee Irick (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Gary Lee Irick, son of Elmer Claude and Opal May Handley Irick, was born April 25, 1938, near Nebo, Missouri. He departed this life Friday Evening, April 11, 2014, in Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of seventy-five years, eleven months, and sixteen days.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Cletus Irick; two sisters, Wanda Mullis, and Juanita Dick; a half-brother, Laverne Handley; and a half-sister, Demelda Gennings.
Gary is survived by a daughter, Tammy Jordan, and her husband, Michael, of Fair Grove, Missouri; three sons, Bryan Irick, and his wife, Greta, of Springfield, Missouri, Ronald Irick, of Rogersville, Missouri, and Chris Irick, of Pleasant Hope, Missouri; five grandchildren, Jessice and Joshua Jordan, Derek Irick, Amanda Weigert, and Christopher Irick; two great-grandchildren, Kaden Weigert, and Hailey Irick; a sister, Genevieve Admire, of Mount Vernon, Missouri; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
He was raised in the Competition and Drew communities and lived most of his life in the Lebanon area. He worked in the automotive transport business for a number of years, and then worked for a newspaper printing business.
In his spare time he enjoyed fishing for catfish, buying and repairing old cars, and camping.
Gary was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and know that he will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him.
