He was born in the Smackout area south of Seymour and moved to Mansfield with his parents in 1944. He attended Mansfield Schools and lived most of his life in Mansfield where he ran the farm that has been in the family for over 100 years. He raised cattle, milked cows by hand and sold the milk by the gallon, raised five acres of strawberries for several years and was a beekeeper and had sixty hives on his property to maintain. He also ran the MFA mill in Mansfield for ten years.
Harry made a profession of faith in Christ and was baptized on March 31, 1963.
In his spare time he loved gardening and sharing his produce with others, fishing, riding his 4-wheeler with his grandchildren and spending as much time with them as he could.
Harry was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and will always cherish the special times we had together.
