My heart breaks for you all during this difficult time. Praying for God's comfort to surround you. Even though I didn't personally know James, I hated to hear this.

Being James' godfather has been a blessing beyond belief. I've always considered him as my second son. He has left a vacancy in my home and a hole in my heart that will never be filled. Both of my adult children feel like they've lost their little brother. I beg of everyone to keep Mike, Penny, Bill, Leischa and the rest of the family in your thoughts and prayers as well as James' buddies that were with them when this tragedy took place. It's going to be a long road to acceptance and they're going to need all of our support. Jimmy James, I love and miss you dearly and it was an honor to have had you in my life.

We really enjoyed getting to know James during his trips to California. He was one of the bright spots of our trips. The guys enjoyed comparing notes about hunting in Missouri and California. He was a special young man.
