Jean M Jacobs (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Jean Marie Jacobs, daughter of Oliver Henry and Jacquelyn Sears Patnaude, was born May 15, 1959, in Keene, New Hampshire. She departed this life Thursday, December 6, 2012, in Mercy Hospital, in Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of fifty-three years, six months, and twenty-one days.
On March 1, 1980, she was united in marriage to Mike Glen Jacobs, and they shared the last thirty-two years.
She was preceded in death by her father; and her step-father, Richard Patnaude, Sr.
Jean is survived by her husband, Mike, of the home; her mother, Jackie Patnaude, of Lebanon, Missouri; two brothers, Troy Patnaude, and his wife, Elizabeth, and Richard Patnaude, and his wife, Melinda, all of Lebanon, Missouri; a sister, Suzanne Tweddle, of Denver, Colorado; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
She was born in New Hampshire, and was raised in Las Vegas, Nevada. After she and Mike were married, they lived in Nevada and Utah before moving to Missouri, and to Lebanon six years ago. Throughout her life, Jean was a devoted homemaker to her husband.
Jean was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Lebanon. She greatly enjoyed the fellowship her church family offered her.
In her spare time she liked fishing, and spending time with her nieces and nephews. She also was especially fond of her cat, “Zena” and her dog, “Daisy”, which she loved dearly. Although her family was very important to her, Jean always put her church foremost in her life.
Jean was a loving wife, daughter, sister, and aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend. She was truly an inspiration to others through her perseverance and determination over her obstacles in life. She will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her.
