My condolences to the family / I was just a kid in the late 1960's into 70's tagging along with my auto-bodyman by trade Dad as he would drop by the local car dealers to talk business and just hang out at times. Fast forward a few years and I'm a typical car crazy teen. Jerry was great to know for this as three or four times as long as I took care of the car or truck bought off him he would let me trade it in for the same amount I'd payed. Pretty sweet, right ? Told him I wanted a Trans Am and he kind of chuckled and said he would keep an eye out. Couple of weeks go by and I'm driving by his lot where Papa Murphy's is now and on the top car hauler rack sits this black T/A. Quite the view :) . I rush in and ask "is that it ?' "Yep,he say's .. that's a bandit. What do ya think?" I thought o.m.g. as I watched this 1977 Trans Am with t-tops,four on the floor, solid chrome centerline wheels-60 series t/a radial tires ,headers into chrome side-pipes backing off that hauler. He laughed and said he thought I would like it. I'll try to include a pic of the car Jerry found a happy 19 year old boy.. some things ya don't forget. Bye Jerry. Don Saunders (Herbs boy)
