Jerry Dean Jackson (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Jerry Dean Jackson, a cherished father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother, passed away peacefully in Lebanon South Nursing and Rehab in Lebanon, Missouri on Sunday, April 13, 2025, at the age of eighty-two years, eight months and twenty-seven days. He was born July 17, 1942, in Morgan, Missouri, the son of Alfred Charley and Emma Mary Churchill Jackson.
Jerry grew up in the Morgan Community and graduated from Conway High School.
On July 21, 1959, Jerry married the love of his life, Judy Jones, when they were both seventeen years old. They shared fifty-seven wonderful years of marriage. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories.
Jerry was always busy and was knowledgeable in many different things. When he was young, he worked for Junior Dale Calton on the farm. He later worked for Caldwell’s Restaurant. He then began his career by selling cars for Gene Smith before going into the car business on his own. Jerry was a smart businessman and was always working on a deal.
Jerry and Judy were also active in the Missouri Fox Trotter Association and raised horses on their farm. Jerry was named to the Missouri Fox Trotter Hall of Fame in the Class of 2010, an honor he cherished.
Jerry is preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Emma; his loving wife Judy; and three brothers, Marvin, Merlin and Ronny.
He is survived by his two sons, Reggie Jackson and his wife Stephanie and Steve Jackson and his wife Angie, all of Lebanon, Missouri; two grandchildren, Pavin Aduddell and her husband Miles and Payne York and her husband Cannon; two great-grandchildren, Scottie and Shep; two brothers, which he was very close to, Alvin Jackson and his wife Jolene and Kenny Jackson; and a sister-in-law, Linda Goodman.
Jerry loved the people in the Morgan Community and stayed connected to them over the years. For many years, he was faithful in attending the Memorial Day Picnic held in Morgan.
Jerry loved Fox Trotter horses and going fishing. You could also find him working on cars and going to the racetrack to see the cars run, many times the ones he had worked on. Jerry also liked to go the riverboat and play card games.
Jerry loved and cherished his sons, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was a caring and trusted neighbor and friend. His passing leaves a great void in the Jackson family. Jerry will be sorely missed by those who knew and loved him.
