Joseph Edwin Trapani (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Joseph Edwin Trapani was born March 9, 1946 in Lebanon, Missouri to Salvatore and Anna Wagoner Trapani. He passed away Friday, May 29, 2026 in Lake Regional Hospital in Osage Beach, Missouri. He was eighty years, two months and twenty days of age.
Joseph spent his early years in Lebanon, but moved with his family to Illinois where he was raised and graduated from Hinsdale High School. Following his schooling, Joseph enlisted in the United States Army. He faithfully served his country from 1965-1971, which included two tours in Vietnam.
Following his time in the Army, he moved to Chicago, Illinois was he was a firefighter for several years. He then moved to Lebanon, Missouri where he was a truck driver, a bartender, and various other jobs. He then went to Las Vegas, Nevada for fifteen years before returning to Lebanon.
Joseph is preceded in death by his parents; and one son, Joseph Trapini, Jr.
He is survived by his wife, Darleen Trapani; three daughters, Sheila Lindal-Ferguson of Lebanon, Missouri and Stephanie Trapini of Valparaiso, Illinois and Stacy; one son, Robert “Bob” Trapini of Las Vegas, Nevada; four grandchildren, Alex, Bella, Janisa and Nicole; great-grandchildren, Reagan and Jesse; his sisters, Millie Saber of Marshfield, Missouri, Beth Aldridge of Springfield, Missouri and Flip; and other relatives and friends.
Joseph was active at the V.F.W. in Lebanon where he was a bartender. He loved to go golfing and spending time with friends. When summertime arrived, you could find him enjoying time with family and friends.
Joseph was many things to many people. He will be greatly missed and his memories will remain in the hearts of those he loved.
A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, June 14, 2026 from noon until 3 p.m. at the American Legion Hall in Lebanon.
A memorial to Wounded Warriors or Claws and Paws has been established and donations may be left at the funeral home.
