Karla, I had the pleasure of meeting you and Bruce when I was a student at the U of A over 30 yrs ago. Although we lost touch in 1994, we were able to reconnect via FB. I was happy to see that you continued to blossom as you continue to walk your path as an artist and as an advocate. Your transition is unexpected and not welcomed. My heart is with you, Bruce and family. I remember fondly the early 90’s at the University of Arkansas when Karla served as Fine Arts Chair for University Programs in the Arkansas Union. Karla was a caring person and gifted artist. I have been fortunate to stay in touch with her via social media. I have every beautiful card Karla shared over the years, as each one featured one of her magnificent drawings. I’m so very sorry for your loss. Wishing you peace and comfort.
