My family moved next door to him when I was 9. May 2009 was the year i met this wonderful man who adopted me and my brothers as grand kids. He was the best man.

My heart is so heavy. I cannot imagine how you all feel because I know how much it hurts me. My Uncle Claude was one of the best men I have ever known in my life. He made me so proud to call him family. Whenever I had a conversation with him, I always felt happy after. He was loving, reassuring and soul lifting. You will all be in my prayers and love you all, Aunt Martha, Steve, Jean, Britny, Steven, Meagan, and Jon-Michael!
I remember a picture of Claude with my dad (Bill Thomson) in Vietnam sometime in the mid to late 60's among others. I always enjoyed talking with Claude who had a great sense of humor. My deepest sympathies to his family. I'm sure he will be missed by everyone who knew him.
