40 years ago Bob and I were married and attended the Presbyterian church off and on where Bob had known Opal all his life and I was proud to make her acquantance. Opal and I shared a love of sewing and I was awed with the outfits she made for so many ladies in town, including my sweet mother-in-law. In raising our family and working out of town, I never saw much of Opal, but she always had a sweet smile and kind word when I met her at the store or somewhere around town. Her quilts and paintings are lovely. Thank you for sharing them with us. Opal will be missed greatly and I look forward to discussing our quilts and sewing techniques in another world and time. I'm sure she is busy right now sewing angel gowns!
