Paul Stark (Hartville)'s Obituary
Paul Elward Stark left us to be with his Lord and Savior on August 27, 2018. He was 94 years old. Paul is survived by two daughters, Kathleen Friburg and her husband David of Walnut Creek, California, Susan Smith and her husband Ed of Rogersville, Missouri, and a son Donald of Hartville, Missouri.
Paul Elward Stark was born February 6, 1924 to Florian and Bertha Stark in Richmond, California. He lived in Richmond through his college days and graduated from UC Berkeley where he met his wife Marjorie Adkins. Paul served in the US Navy prior to his college years.
After Kathy and Donald were born, Paul and Marjorie were able to purchase a home in the then small town of Walnut Creek where Susan was born.
Paul worked for 35 years at Pacific Telephone. Paul and Marjorie spent many happy years raising their three children. They spent Paul’s vacation time back and forth to Missouri to visit Marjorie’s family. In 1994, several years after their retirement, they moved to Hartville where Marjorie had spent the latter part of her youth. Paul and Marjorie’s retirement years were spent quietly enjoying their home in Missouri with their dogs.
Paul was known to be a jokester and could entertain people well with his stories. He was a devoted husband and father and will be dearly missed.
Memorial Services will be held on Wednesday, September 12th, 2018 at 5:00 p.m. at North Park Village Assisted Living, Ozark, Mo.
