Rachel Luthy Johnson (Lebanon)'s Obituary
On the night of her seventy-first birthday, Rachel Ann Luthy Johnson left the cares of this world and went to be with her Lord and Savior. Rachel was born November 22, 1952 in Lebanon, Missouri to Elbert Russell Luthy and Betty Pauline Proctor.
Rachel grew up in Lebanon and was a Lebanon High School graduate in the class of 1970. Following graduation, Rachel moved to Springfield, Missouri and made her home there. She was employed for several years with Anpac Insurance Company as an adjuster.
While growing up in Lebanon, Rachel attended White Oak Pond Cumberland Presbyterian Church with her family. In recent years, she was attending Calvary Cowboy Church in Lebanon. She loved God with all her heart and looked forward to spending eternity with Him.
Rachel was preceded in death by her parents, Russell and Betty; and her sister, Vicki.
She is survived by her significant other, Bill Weber of Springfield, MO; two sons, Kori Johnson and his partner, Claire of Cary, North Carolina and Tyler Johnson and his wife, Rachel of Willard, Missouri; three grandchildren, Bodie, Brynlee and Olivia; her brothers, Don Luthy and his wife, Barb and Lawrence Luthy, all of Lebanon, Missouri; and a sister, Hila Prock and her husband, Ross, of Lebanon, Missouri; and a number of relatives and friends.
Rachel was a fun person to be with. She loved to make people laugh and the room lit up when she walked in. Most of all, Rachel loved her family. They were so special to her. She especially enjoyed spending time with her three precious grandchildren. They were the light of her life and time spent with them was treasured.
Rachel will be remembered for her love of God and her family and her dedication to her loved ones. Her warm presence and unwavering support will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Services for Rachel will be held Monday, November 27, 2023 at 1 p.m. at Calvary Cowboy Church in Lebanon. Visitation will be Monday, Nov. 27 from noon – 1 p.m. at Calvary Cowboy Church in Lebanon. Friends may call at the funeral home prior to the Monday service.
Burial will follow in White Oak Pond Cemetery.
A memorial to Calvary Cowboy Church has been established and donations may be left at the funeral home.
