I've known Ray for what seems like forever. Patricia and I met her first day of school here and were inseparable. They took me everywhere with them it seem s like. Ray drove us all over town to trick or treat when we were young. Out for pizza on Friday nights at the old Geno's and introduced me to homemade tasting ice cream at Leslie's Dairy Serve. I spent New Year's Eve at Grandma Jo's, went for airplane rides over Lake Ozark and when the family went to Texas for a trip they drug me along. All the way to Six Flags! It got to the point where they would introduce us as " These are our girls Patricia and Donna and our other Donna! And then just laugh. You never forget good times, memories or the way people treat you . Like family. Thanks for the memories I'll never forget you Ray! Love your " other" Donna

I worked with Ray back in the early 1970's at Dijit Homes. Ray was a great guy always in high sprites. We use to build the parts to the houses in Lebanon then go out and build them in Vail Colorado. We spent a lot of time together, it was hard, cold work. I can always remember Rays laugh, his smile. I am sorry for your loss. We even bought some furniture from Ray when he owned Heritage Furniture, I think that was the name.

My memories of Uncle Raymond and Aunt Alma when we were all "younger" are still very vivid in my mind: Our trips to Titusville and the "homestead", trips out to the barge in the Bay, field trips with Raymond's mother, our Granny Birdie, visiting Alma's mother's farm in Crosby and so many more pleasant memories that I will treasure. Thank you, Aunt Alma, for loving and caring for your husband the way you did - such a wonderful example of God's love and the way He intends marriage to be! I love you and will be praying for you and Tricia and the grandchildren in this time of separation.

I have cared for Ray, Mr. Husselton, as his RN Case Manager from the Veteran's Administration for a year and a half now. I will always cherish his smile, his warm eyes, and his willingness to do what I asked him to do without a fuss.

But what I will remember for always is the precious love, care, and devotion shown to him by his wife Alma. She unselfishly loved Ray every day of his life. She bathed, shaved, cleaned, dressed, and exercised him, cooked for and fed him, gave him his medication and kept him hydrated, daily applied his leg braces, and monitored him closely for changes and problems, faithfully reporting these to the Home Based Primary Care Staff.

This care was incredibly mentally and physically taxing, and she never complained or faltered in the excellence with which she cared for him. With each visit, I would find him clean, well fed, comfortable, and peaceful. Anyone who has ever cared for someone knows what a monumental task this must have been for her, but she did it with love and grace, never complaining. It was a great pleasure for me as a VA case manager to find this veteran so well cared for and honored.

With each visit, she was gracious and kind to me, she always made me feel welcome in their home, and she always lovingly shared their family stories and their lives with me.

She was a living example of God's love. She taught me more than I ever taught her, and I will always cherish them both in my heart.

I remember Uncle Raymond helping us girls make icecream..I remember his laugh that held kindness. Blessed to have known his love and gentle ways. My prayers and love to you Aunt Alma and family.
