I am so sorry to hear of Richie's passing. I remember him fondly from high school. He was a year ahead of me, but I would always see him in the halls, at foot ball games and wrestling matches. He was one of the nice guys who always had a smile. My prayers go out to his family and loved ones.
My condolences to the entire Krecl family and all friends. Richie was a wonderful person and #70 will live on in the fond thoughts and memories and in the hearts of so many.
One of the Gatsby Greats! - He was a fun-lover.. a celebrated member of the undefeated Gatsby Champion Flag Football Team. He was a great athlete and defensive football player.. he could be very serious and would take heat from his friends and turn it into a comedy routine ~ All his friends really loved him. He had his own distinctive style; I always thought of him as a creative and talented comedic genius. After our first undefeated season in 1973, we had a celebration at Gatsby's, Rich and a few of the other linemen dressed up as the Supremes and performed for the crowd. It was a great show! I will always cherish those fun days and his memory. He was loved by many and will be missed by many. He will never be forgotten - Rest In Peace Richie Krecl
