Rosemary L. Jones (Seymour)'s Obituary
Rosemary (Lang) Jones, daughter of Otis and Della Mary (Kaufman) Lang, was born March 10, 1920 in Annapolis, Indiana. She was called home to her heavenly reward on Friday evening, May 31, 2013 in her home near Seymour, Missouri at the age of ninety-three years, two months and twenty-one days.
She is preceded in death by her husband George Everett Jones in February of 1973; her parents; and her son-in-law Dwayne Miller.
Rosemary is survived by her daughters Georgeann McGinness and husband Dennis of Seymour, Missouri and Mina Hostetler and husband Allen of Seymour, Missouri; her son Jeffery William Jones of Ava, Missouri and her “special” son David Box of the home; her grandchildren Gerald Miller and wife Abigail, Chelsea Miller and Jennifer McGinness, all of Seymour, Missouri, as well as a host of other dear family and friends.
Raised up in Indiana, Rosemary knew at an early age that children would play a special role in her life. She held a master’s degree in business as well as mental health, both tools she used in her calling to be the director of the Countryside Gardens Children Home of Seymour, Missouri for over twenty years. She also owned and operated the Countryside Garden’s Bulk Food’s Store. Over the years she raised chicken to sell eggs.
Faith was a cornerstone for Rosemary during many of the trials of her life. She raised her family to know and serve Lord Jesus. Rosemary devoted her life to serving children with special needs, knowing that she received more than she could ever give. She was a member of the Liberty Freewill Baptist Church of Seymour, Missouri, enjoying watching the young people grow in their faith.
Rosemary enjoyed raising and watching things grow- the animals on her family farm, the plants in her garden, her children and grandchildren. A nurturing heart, guiding hands and an unwavering strength, Rosemary produced good fruits in her life. We celebrate the life and accomplishments of Rosemary Jones, cherishing the memories she created for each of us. A loving mother, grandmother, sister in faith and a caring neighbor and friend, we will miss all that Rosemary gave to our lives and will hold to the truth that through our Lord Jesus Christ we will meet again.
