Roy Carroll (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Roy Gene Carroll, son of William E. “Ted” and Eva Armstrong Carroll, was born June 13, 1943, near Hazelgreen, Missouri. He departed this life Thursday, December 27, 2012, in his home, near Plato, Missouri, at the age of sixty-nine years, six months, and fourteen days.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Troy Carroll; and two sisters, Ruby Jenkins, and Shirley Dickens.
Roy is survived by his significant other, Linda Hall, of the home; three nieces, Sonia Alexander, and her husband, James, of Republic, Missouri, Treasa Gee, and her husband, Frank, and Tammy Freeman, and her husband, T. C., and Tammy Jenkins, all of Holts Summit, Missouri; seven nephews, Bill Jenkins, and his girl friend, Donna Elliott, James David Jenkins, and Paul Jenkins, and his wife, Carla, all of Holts Summit, Missouri, Jamie Carroll, and his wife, Sherry, of Lebanon, Missouri, Troy Carroll, and his wife, Melinda, of Springfield, Missouri, Steven Dickens, and his wife, Jess, of the State of Texas, and Larry Rodgers, of Holts Summit, Missouri; several great-nieces and great-nephews; a brother-in-law, Jimmie Dickens, of Springfield, Missouri; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
He lived his entire life in Laclede County, Missouri. He had worked at various jobs throughout the years, including as a mechanic and a farmer. For the last few years, he and Linda had made their home in the Plato community.
Roy had established his own personal relationship with his Lord and Savior, and tried to live a Christian life. He was always willing to help others.
In his spare time he enjoyed being outdoors where his favorite activities were fishing, hunting, and camping. He was very adept at storytelling, and enjoyed visiting with friends. His family was very important to him and he liked spending time with his nieces and nephews.
Roy will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him.
