Roy Dale Ligon (Seymour)'s Obituary
Roy Dale Ligon, 61, of Freeburg, Illinois, originally of Seymour, Missouri, was born September 10, 1954, in Mansfield, Missouri, and died Tuesday, October 27, 2015, at Memorial Hospital in Belleville, Illinois.
Mr. Ligon was a systems analyst and programmer for Clean Uniform Company in St. Louis, Missouri. He had previously worked at Midwest Home Savings & Loan and the Casino Queen.
Roy was preceded in death by his parents, George L. and Bessie (Hill) Ligon; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, William and Mae Bossing; and two brothers-in-law, Wayne Rippee and Randall Bossing.
Surviving are his wife of 28 years, Carolyn K. (Bossing) Ligon, whom he married on June 20, 1987, in Springfield, Missouri; two sons, Gary Lee Brannaman and wife, Christina, and Justin Brannaman and wife, Shawndell, all of Belleville, Illinois; six grandchildren, Taylor, Chandler, Natalee, Teagan, and Ashlyn Brannaman, and Kahari Zesch; four sisters, Georgia Cantrell and husband, Bill, of Marshfield, Missouri; Margie Mitchell and husband, Ed, of Fair Play, Missouri; Charlotte Rippee of Seymour, Missouri; and Linda Claxton and husband, Russell, of Seymour; nieces and nephews; his God-child, Carrie Edson; and his canine companion, Big Boy Thor.
