She loved the lord ...she was good woman. Heaven gained an angel ....
My memories of Ruth will be of a powerful, prayerful, encouraging spirit-filled woman. I will always remember and be encouraged by her love for the Lord at all times, during the good, the bad and especially the most challenging. This loving spirit lives on in her family. May Gods peace and comfort embrace them all.
Aunt Ruth was an important and meaningful influence in my life- a person I admired and respected and loved. She was my mother's best friend from the late 1940s' on until my mother's passing. I remember Aunt Ruth and her blazing red hair and her always inviting homes; first in Conway Mo, and then in other homes she lived in near St. Louis and Kansas City. During my 13th sumner I stayed with her and Uncle Cecil, adding to her houseful of children. It was quite the sumner to remember, very enjoyable and broadening my horizons! Later, when I was a young mother myself, my mother married Aunt Ruth's brother, making her even more truly my auntie.
Sincerest and loving condolences to all her children and grandchildren. Aunt Ruth had a long and positive life. She was a strong and independent woman who loved her family so deeply- so evident. I will miss her presence even though it was years in between visits.
