Ruth E Hash (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Ruth E. Hash, daughter of Ora and Oda McCoy Davis, was born June 9, 1926 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She departed this life on Thursday, September 10, 2015, at Hospice House in Kansas City, Missouri, surrounded by family and friends.
On May 28, 1949 in Conway, Missouri, she was united in marriage to Cecil Hash.
To this union, eight children were born.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Cecil; one daughter, Sharon Sorenson; and one son, Kevin Hash. Survivors include four daughters; Sharlene Jordan of Cleveland, Mo., Nancy Mollison and her husband William of Conway, Mo., Irma Feller and her husband Harold of Villa Ridge, Mo., Ellen Porter and her husband John of Gardner, Kansas; two sons; Daniel Hash of Desoto, Mo. And Michael Hash and his wife Donna of Desoto, Mo; fifteen grandchildren; thirty-two great- grandchildren and eight great-great grandchildren; one brother, Ralph Davis of Wimberly, Texas; one sister, Mary and her husband Asbjorn Aarastad of Federal Way, Washington, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Ruth’s father was a preacher, and during her younger years, she lived with her family in various locations where her father served. After she and Cecil were married, they lived in the Conway area where they raised their family. She has blessed many people in her years of service to the Lord, working in children and youth ministry as well as being a church pianist for more than sixty years. She loved to minister to people and could be seen with her guitar, singing at a nursing home, leading a home bible study group in praise and worship.
She inspired many people of all ages as a Sunday school teacher and women’s ministry leader, as well as simply being a friend and confidant.
Ruth was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and know that her family and friends will cherish the wonderful memories she created for them during her lifetime. Memorial donations may be made to Lonesome Hill Cemetery, and left at the funeral home.
