Sandra Johnston (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Sandra Kay Johnston, daughter of Lynwood S. Feaster, Sr. and Olive B. Tull Feaster, was born on November 7, 1944, in Lafayette, Indiana. She passed away peacefully at home in Falcon, Missouri, on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, at the age of eighty years, five months, and eight days.
On July 5, 1963, Sandra was united in marriage to Albert Ross Johnston, Sr. To this union, one son and two daughters were born.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Albert in 2011; and her sister, Linda Rogers.
Sandra is survived by her son, Albert R. Johnston, Jr. of Falcon, Missouri and his ex-wife Danielle Johnston of North Fort Myers, Florida; two daughters, Leah Kirby and her husband Gregory of Cape Coral, Florida, and Rebecca Peterson of Sarasota, Florida; six grandchildren: Amber and her husband Bryan, Michael and his wife Sydney, Bradley, Benjamin and his wife Savannah, Savannah, and Troy; and great-grandchildren: Elizabeth, Chloe, Owen, and Hailey; her brother, Lynwood S. Feaster, Jr. of Lebanon, Indiana; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Sandra was born and raised in Lafayette, Indiana, and graduated from Southwestern High School in 1963. In 1968, she and Albert moved to Falcon, Missouri, where she devoted herself to raising their children and helping run the family farm, raising baby calves. The family later moved to Alaska, where Sandy began her career in banking. In 1979, they relocated to Florida, where she continued her work in banking for many years before retiring and returning to Falcon, Missouri in 2007.
Sandra professed her faith in Christ and had been a member of Lynchburg Baptist Church in Lynchburg, Missouri since 1977.
In her spare time, Sandy enjoyed all aspects of farm life and found great joy in spending time with her family and beloved animals. Her love and warmth shone brightest when she was with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Sandy was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt. She was also a caring neighbor and loyal friend. We celebrate her life and know she will be fondly remembered and deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
A memorial has been established to Lynchburg Baptist Church or GYN Cancers Alliance and donations may be left at the funeral home.
