Sylvester was the best and last of the older generation that I grew up with. He and my Dad were my mentors. Every time I returned to Mo. I always made a point to include a visit with him. I appreciate the influence that he had in my younger years growing up on a nearby farm. When I was a kid, I always looked forward to visiting Bess and Juanita. I cherish the memories I have of both of them. Now that they are gone, it seems as it is the end of an era in my lifetime. Rest in peace, my old friend.

Sylvester (Bess) and his wife Juanita were two of the finest people that God graced us with on this earth. I feel so blessed and grateful to have had them in my life. "Thank you's" do not seem to be strong enough words to express what I feel, so I'll just say, God's speed and until we meet again. My thoughts and prayers are with the family. As always, Don Cossey
