Velma was all neighbors favorite at Halloween she made some of the best popcorn balls around. When my dad passed away she was always there to talk to me, we cut wood for her after dad died she always want to fix us something to eat. I remember going there in the early fall when the grapes were ripe and eat until she would say sis your going to be sick if you don’t stop eating them, even after Tom died she kept her yard mowed beautiful, and had a great garden. I will never forget being a little girl couldn't been more than 4 I would cut through the field and be at their house and she'd call Mom and ask her if she knew I was there, I done that quite often Tom and her never minded, I would just stay for hours and then Mom would come get me, so so many years ago, my thoughts and prayers are with you Steve and to all.
