William Francis (Seymour)'s Obituary
WIlliam "Billy" Allen Francis, son of William Allen Francis, Sr. and Reba Camille Strickland Francis was born January 1, 1942 in Sacramento, California. He departed this life, Sunday, May 23, 2010 in Glenwood Healthcare in Seymour, Missouri at the age of sixty-eight years, four months, and seven days.
He was a veteran of the United States Army and had served during the Vietnam War.
Billy grew up in Mobile, Alabama and began playing music in his pre-teen years and played keyboard and sang with Dr. Hook and The Medicine Show, a rock band, during the 1960's and 70's. The band had been featured in the Rolling Stone Magazine. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing at Roaring Rivers and golfing.
He was preceded in death by both his parents.
Billy is survived by his daughter, Danielle Francis of Nashville, Tennessee; two sisters, LeJune Perkins and her husband, Larry, and Tonya Ahrens and her husband, Walt, all of Mountain Grove, Missouri; a number of nieces and nephews; and other relatives and many friends.
No local services are being held, but services will be in Leakville, Mississippi at a later date.
Local arrangements were under direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Seymour, Missouri.
