William C. Rosenburgh (Hartville)'s Obituary
William Carman Rosenburgh, son of Kenneth and Sheby Ruth Mumaw Rosenburgh, was born June 7, 1922 in South Bend, Indiana. He departed this life Sunday, August 30, 2015 in Lebanon Care and Rehab, Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of ninety-three years, two months, and twenty-three days.
On March 19, 1955, Bill was united in marriage to Ellen Marie Miller and together they shared nearly fifty-four years until her passing on March 2, 2009.
Bill was also preceded in death by his parents; a sister; Glendora Coy; and a brother, who passed away as a young child.
He is survived by his daughter, Becky Teske and husband Charles, of Lebanon, Missouri; four grandchildren, Oake, Rocky, Amber, and Nathan; eleven great-grandchildren and one greatly anticipated; niece, Sheila Coy; nephew, Jeff Coy; and aunt Pat Henry; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
Bill spent the majority of his life in Indiana. He was a graduate of Mishawaka High School, and shortly after enlisted in the United States Air Force. Bill worked for Uniroyal Rubber Company for over forty-one years until his retirement. He also served as the treasurer of the United Rubber Workers Union for many years.
Bill was baptized into the Catholic Church later in life and was a member of St. Monica’s Catholic Church in Indiana for many years, where he also served as the treasurer. A few years ago, Bill made his public confession of Christian faith.
Following his retirement, Bill and Ellen traveled to various locations and in July of 2004, they moved to Wright County to be closer to their family. He treasured the time spent in the Hartville Care Center, where he was affectionately known as “Dad” by everyone there, however, his health eventually forced him to move to Lebanon to be closer to his family.
In his spare time, Bill enjoyed bowling, and working in his rose garden. He cherished the time spent with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Bill was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and uncle, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and accomplishments and will treasure the many wonderful memories he has created for his family and many dear friends.
Bill’s family would like to extend a special thanks to all those who faithfully cared for and ministered to people like Dad.
Memorial contributions for Gideon International may be sent to the funeral home at HHFH, PO Box 236, Hartville, Mo. 65667
